my friend wes posted this on his blog and i'm posting it because i was duped by this stupid service too...so be warned friends! it's a load of poop and you shouldn't sign up.

I accepted a request by a friend of mine two weeks ago and this thing has apparently hijacked my address book and is trying to get everyone else to join. This thing is a spamming machine that I have no control over but it seems to be sending messages to everyone in my address book (including me!) to join this ridiculous service. I have closed my account and urge anyone who has already accepted to do the same. When they want to know why you are deleting your account, make sure to tell them that it is because their "service" is really crappy seeing as how it annoyed all of your friends. We already get enough unsolicited spam...we don't need any more."

- I recently graduated with my Ph.D. in Sociology and I'm still trying to get used to the fact that I'm done with school forever. I've been teaching in my first faculty position since August 07, which is going well. Not sure what's next on the horizon, but I know I will figure it out. Currently, I'm living back in Iowa and readjusting to life in the Midwest. In general, I'm pretty laid back, funny, and open minded. Love movies, playing golf, takin' it easy with friends, drinking coffee, writing in my journal, road trips, traveling, beer, wine, and white russians, and monkeys. :) Hmmm...what else? I miss being close to friends who are far away, but it has been nice meeting new people and being closer to family. I think those are the basics. :) Thanks for reading.
