About Me

- I recently graduated with my Ph.D. in Sociology and I'm still trying to get used to the fact that I'm done with school forever. I've been teaching in my first faculty position since August 07, which is going well. Not sure what's next on the horizon, but I know I will figure it out. Currently, I'm living back in Iowa and readjusting to life in the Midwest. In general, I'm pretty laid back, funny, and open minded. Love movies, playing golf, takin' it easy with friends, drinking coffee, writing in my journal, road trips, traveling, beer, wine, and white russians, and monkeys. :) Hmmm...what else? I miss being close to friends who are far away, but it has been nice meeting new people and being closer to family. I think those are the basics. :) Thanks for reading.

I think there must be a rule that institues of higher learning (if that term can be applied to community colleges) must have a special rule that states they must lie to you, Kate. First Blinn, then TVI, now A&M... you're three for three.

so i went over there and they said they'd take care of it today and now when i checked they removed one loan and i owe $1000. AND my loans aren't on there yet. what in the holy hell is going on?
update: still no loans yet. still owe the university money because they took away my perkins loan (because $300 = $1000 apparently) and now i have a slim chance of getting the perkins loan reapplied because all the funds have been used up. so at least someone else got funding because financial aid totally fucked up my account. whoop!
i got totally fucked with tuition last year too. big schools suck balls. but gig'em ags! ;-)
