Do a little more research before you take this plunge on Monday. You have a lot of facts at your disposal, but you haven't really aired your ideas with anyone else. Find an expert -- or at least someone who's been through something like this before -- and pick their brain. Tuesday and Wednesday are going to be all about work. (A word to the wise: don't ask for a raise this week.) Thursday and Friday will be all about your friends. Keep in mind that your friends can help you in your current situation. They know things, and they know people in high places.

- I recently graduated with my Ph.D. in Sociology and I'm still trying to get used to the fact that I'm done with school forever. I've been teaching in my first faculty position since August 07, which is going well. Not sure what's next on the horizon, but I know I will figure it out. Currently, I'm living back in Iowa and readjusting to life in the Midwest. In general, I'm pretty laid back, funny, and open minded. Love movies, playing golf, takin' it easy with friends, drinking coffee, writing in my journal, road trips, traveling, beer, wine, and white russians, and monkeys. :) Hmmm...what else? I miss being close to friends who are far away, but it has been nice meeting new people and being closer to family. I think those are the basics. :) Thanks for reading.
